Open Wi-Fi networks can be spoofed. Anyone can set up a hotspot named 'Hotel_Guest' and watch traffic.

Use your phone's hotspot when you can. It's encrypted by default and doesn't trust strangers.

If you must use public Wi-Fi, use a VPN. Mullvad. ProtonVPN. Don't use a sketchy free one — they sell your data harder than the airport does.
